The Polymorphic Academy is a facility to educate and train those intent on being the first to maximise the future of interactive TV.
Our team is made up from experienced film business professionals who between them have over 100 years of combined experience. Ranging from Pop Promos, Feature Films, Commercials and Broadcast. Working for the last 6 years with the Polymorphic format they have been instrumental in designing, developing, and testing both the new creative and technical requirements, as well as adapting existing processes and technology. As part of our ongoing development and commitment we are now able to share this knowledge through the medium of our Polymorphic Academy.
From raw recruits to experienced players Directors are pivotal in the Polymorphic process. Training programs range from the most basic polymorphic principles, through to advanced and still advancing concepts. Directors need to be aware of the new technical and creative freedoms that filming in a polymorphic environment bring.
In a multi camera environment D.O.Ps and Operators must acquire new skills. Lighting for 25 plus cameras requires a new approach to established concepts in photography. Similarly the logistical operation of many cameras requires both operators and assistants to learn new procedures designed to seamlessly integrate them into polymorphic filming. Although it should be understood that one camera is adequate to work polymorphically.
Polymorphic sound requirements differ little from traditional linear processes. What is important is that engineers and recordists understand the small but important differences when working in the polymorphic environment. Individual programs combine hands on experience with technical theory producing engineers capable of exploring the new audio possibilities provided by polymorphism.
It should be understood from the outset that before a script is conceived an understanding of thinking in a polymorphic way is essential to the process. Our tutorial will guide the experienced and beginner to adapt to a new discovery in modern filmmaking.
